for(ever)

for(ever) is an intimate text written for speech in relation to artist Guadalupe Rosales’s work that enfolds history, violence, and loss. Through remnants of personal and documented histories, for(ever) looks at the Mexican experience through the lens of death and passion. for(ever) is the second performance to take place atop Rosales’s “go-go box” sculpture, activating its facets of ritual, domesticity, and the body.
